WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR INSPECTION

Whether you are buying, selling or maintaining your home, Checkmark Inspections provides professional and quality service from the moment you call us. We will walk through your home with you and teach you as much as you want to learn. We strictly follow the Standards of Practice for home inspectors established by InterNACHI, the leading home inspection association.

At Checkmark Inspections we feel that it is important to go beyond the Standards of Practice in three areas.  Our inspectors will walk the roof or use a drone to get to non-accessible areas as weather permits.  You will receive a free mold assessment to determine if you will need further mold services.  You will also receive free thermal imaging inspection to help uncover any hidden issues like moisture issues or energy loss due to lack of insulation.  Checkmark Inspection’s main goal is to produce the most in-depth and informative report possible, all while making sure you get any questions you have answered.

Our typical home inspection will take 2-4 hours depending on size and age of home.  We arrive 30-45 minutes early to our inspections to get the roof portion of the inspection done before you arrive.  After we walk through the home together, we will explain the general condition of the home and systems with you and your agent. We will talk through any major issues that need to be addressed sooner rather than later. We will also mention the items that you will want to keep an eye on for deferred maintenance. All of this will be detailed in our easy-to-read Spectora report, that will be delivered in HTML and/or PDF format. From that report, you’ll be able to see the items we discussed, with images for reference.  You can expect the final report the same day of the inspection.
